Individuals will have the opportunity to meet with one of our board certified psychiatrists for a full evaluation and follow up appointment as needed. Our psychiatrists specialize in addiction and psychoanalysis, which allows them to not just provide medication and evaluation but also individual therapy as well.
One to One Therapy
ELEVATE offers Bi-weekly individual therapy with a master’s level clinician to address core issues. In addition, we provide weekly individual sessions with a chemical dependency counselor to assess treatment goals and receive psychoeducation.
The Arts provide individuals an outlet to express themselves as another avenue for self- discovery. We offer workshops in the arts to encourage emotional exploration through creative writing, music, art, and improvisational theatre. Clients are given the opportunity to feel a sense of accomplishment through the arts as well as finding new communities of support. Groups include creative writing, art therapy, experiential therapy, and improv therapy.
Most people in early recovery have a hard time communicating appropriately. In effective communications group, we begin to explore CBT based techniques, such as distorted thinking, assertive communication and family styles of communicating, in order to better understand their history of communication styles. We begin to understand patterns and new ways of communicating our feelings, in order to decrease chance of relapse.
This is a specific approach to therapy that identifies the traumatic experience that has impacted an individual’s mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, or spiritual well-being. This specific type of therapy helps the individual understand the connection between trauma, and their emotional and behavioral response. Trauma informed therapy teaches strategies to assist each individual to understand and process these memories in order to adopt healthier coping mechanisms.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
A cognitive-behavioral treatment used to teach mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to clients. In DBT skills group, participants learn and practice skills alongside others. Members of the group are encouraged to share their experiences and provide mutual support. Groups are led by one trained therapist teaching skills and leading exercises. The group members are then assigned homework, such as practicing mindfulness exercises.
